D12 Alewife Mural (2023)
This mural was created as part of my collaborative work with teens at The Community Art Center. For this project, teen artists studied and practiced non-objective abstract art, learning about the different uses and approaches that have spanned many cultures. They also learned different ways to create balance in an artistic composition and how to express an idea or emotion through the use of shapes and colors. They were then given a set number of shapes and colors with which to design their own abstract image. We then worked together to put the images together into one cohesive design and painted it onto the building. This project was sponsored by Healthpeak Properties.
